Why Did Key Witnesses Not Testify at Jeff Dahmer’s Trial?
In a real case, they should have been called upon.
There are several key witnesses that did not testify at Jeff Dahmer’s “trial”:
Vernell Bass - Vernell Bass was Jeff Dahmer’s friend, the neighbor across the hall, and regular visitor to Jeff's “apartment of horrors.” In fact, Vernell Bass was visiting Jeff’s apartment up until right before the “arrest”. He says the photos of shirtless men seen on the walls of Jeff Dahmer’s apartment weren’t there prior to the “arrest”.
The 10-15 people who were at the “Konerak” scene - This includes the firefighters (who were in charge of the “medical situation”) and Nicole Childress. In her Shakers interview, Nicole says she didn’t testify because the police were making up stories about her being “found dead” with a hypodermic needle in her arm.
Self-proclaimed “Dahmer survivors” Billy Capshaw and Preston Davis.
Probation officer Donna Chester - Here's an excerpt from Brian Masters' book where Donna shows growing “concern”:
“Arresting” officers Rauth and Mueller - We have no testimony about their version of events. We only have Tracy Edwards to tell us what happened, and surprisingly, there was no charge for that even though 1) Tracy Edwards testified about his 6-hour “ordeal,” and 2) the confession mentions “attempted homicide.”
Here's the relevant excerpt from Jeff Dahmer’s “confession”:
Counselor Patti Antony - Another key witness for an “insanity trial”. Here's an excerpt from Brian Masters' book:
Jeff Dahmer’s family - Lionel Dahmer even wrote a book about his son's “descent into madness”. Here's an excerpt from Detective Kennedy's book where it is even mentioned that Jeff Dahmer’s family would be called as potential witnesses:
Steven Toushin - Steve Toushin was the owner of the Bijou, the company where Jeremiah Weinberger worked. In his 2011 article, Steve Toushin claims to have been one of the last people to see Jeremiah Weinberger alive.
Teddy Jones - Teddy Jones, who also worked for Steve Toushin, was the alleged best friend of Jeremiah Weinberger. He claims to have seen Jeremiah Weinberger with Jeff Dahmer in Carol’s bar:
Despite the fact that neither Steve Toushin nor Teddy Jones testified at the trial, both seemed very willing to talk to the press. Here’s what Toushin says in his 2011 article:
I made a decision when the reporter was in the office that the Chicago Gay Press should have the exclusive interview of the only eyewitness to Jeffery Dahmer.
Neither Steve Toushin nor Teddy Jones is mentioned in Jeff Dahmer’s “confession.”
Dr Lodl, who allegedly Jeff paid to see in 1988.
Jeff Six - Jeff Six was a close friend of Jeff around the time the Steven Hicks incident occurred. What were his views of Jeff?
The taxi drivers who allegedly ferried Jeff around town - Those rides would have been logged. What did they make of Jeff? The shop owner of the Fish Factory in West Allis, where it is alleged Jeff was a customer, testified during the “trial”. Why not the taxi drivers?
The three doctors who prescribed Halcion to Jeff - Dr. Carl Olson and two unnamed doctors. There was also Dr. Bruce S. Hong, Rheumatology, whose prescription was conveniently missed from the testimony:
Any of the alleged up to 200 “hook-ups” that were mentioned in the “trial”.
Bathhouse manager Bradley Babush - Babush claimed that he banned Jeff Dahmer from the Club Bath Milwaukee in 1986 after serious allegations of drugging patrons. Interestingly, no investigations were ever followed up by police despite the serious nature of the allegations, including one drugged man allegedly spending up to 10 days in a hospital. Here's an archive report dated August 3, 1991, reporting this: Report: Jeffrey Dahmer kicked out of bathouse for drugging members - UPI Archives. Some excerpts:
Bradley Babush, a former manager of Club Bath Milwaukee, said four to six patrons complained about Dahmer's actions during the summer of 1986.
Dahmer was barred from the bathhouse when paramedics had to be called because one drugged man could not be revived and spent seven to 10 days in a hospital, he said.'
Jeff Dahmer’s grandmother - Catherine Dahmer didn’t testify despite the fact that the narrative tells us that Jeff carried out heinous acts right under her nose for years, in her house. Jeff’s grandmother would naturally have been a key witness if this had been a real case. Even if Catherine Dahmer had been unwell, people could still be interviewed if they were in the hospital, for example. She would have been eager to speak for her beloved grandson.
Jeff Dahmer’s neighbors - They also didn’t call upon any of Jeff Dahmer’s neighbors. Why not? The neighbors might have noticed something.
Here’s a parting thought…
Why were they so quick to demolish the Oxford Apartments, but Jeff Dahmer’s grandmother’s house was sold as normal?
And the snot thickens… Everything you have posted indicates that this whole charade was a slimy mess.
Nothing about the trial makes sense. No key witnesses testified. The facts don’t align with the allegations. The strange relationship with the Catholic Church… This has seriously caused me to rethink everything about Dahmer.
Seems there were many misalignments in the OJ trial as well.
How many other instances in our Just Us system have and will occur based upon flimsy to no evidence?
I am looking forward to seeing how this was plotted, by whom, why, and how they got away with the charade in Jeffrey’s case. You know, the old who, what , when, where, and why.
Seems you are doing excellent sleuth work. Thanks for sharing it!
So many missing key witnesses, many closer to Jeff than the fish shop owner, for example. In a real trial, every possible witness would be called upon. Most of these key witnesses aren’t even mentioned in the so-called ‘confession’.
