Jeff Dahmer is Acting - Quotes 1992 Movie Script Lines In 1993 TV Interview
Jeff Dahmer was acting
In September, 1992, actor/screenwriter Carl Crew appeared on the Maury Povich show to talk about his movie, The Secret Life: Jeffrey Dahmer:
The movie was filmed from May-July 1992 and released to video in January 1993.
In April of 1993, Jeff Dahmer did his first interview, on Inside Edition. You can watch the full interview here:
So, Carl Crew's film, The Secret Life: Jeffrey Dahmer was filmed 7-9 months before Jeff Dahmer's first interview. With that in mind, have a listen:
The line they're both speaking is...
"The compulsive obsession with doing what I was doing overpowered any feelings of revulsion."
So, Jeff Dahmer isn't telling the truth here. He's speaking a line from Carl Crew's script for the film The Secret Life: Jeffrey Dahmer, which had already been filmed months before this Inside Edition interview. In other words, Jeff Dahmer is acting.
There are probably other places in the Inside Edition interview where he lifts lines from Carl Crew's script. A close comparison between the two is warranted.
Carl Crew claims he wrote the script for this film from "police interviews":
Carl Crew doesn't say where he got these "police interviews" from. Of course, it would be logical to assume he got them from the Milwaukee Police Department, no? Well, if you look at the credits on the IMDb page for this film, you won't find the Milwaukee PD listed there. You will find the Buenaventura Police Department and the Malibu Sheriff's Department though.
If this were a real case, Carl Crew wouldn't have had access to those "police interviews" anyway. We leave you with this clip of neighbor Pat Snyder saying that Jeff and Lionel Dahmer were acting:
There’s a lively discussion taking place on our subreddit about this post.
Derf did recall in his memoir, what an ‘incredible talent for BS, honed to perfection’ Jeff had. That is believable.
Just more proof that this story was nothing more than fictitious fantasy. Pure 'Hollywood'.
